I am owning my review of First Mortgage Direct, specifically 2 employees which are Mark G and Matthew R. as a retired MSG from the U.S. Army. My name is Tracy Driver and this is my 4th VA loan. I was working with over 9 other lenders that I WAS NOT happy with their performance, progress, and procedures. I Googled one last time for VA Lenders and First Mortgage Direct popped up. I decided to give them a call just to see if I could get a better rate and save some money. I was connected to Mark whom I instantly took a liking to due to his direct approach to doing business. We talked, he answered all my questions, made a lot of sense and told me if told me “If I cannot get you at least 1% lower and save you $20K to $4K on your loan, I’ll tell you to go elsewhere. Needless to say I received a call the next day and said I can get you 1.25% and I can save you at least $10,000 possibly more at closing, because WE DO NOT CHARGE VETERANS AN ORIGINATION FEE. The agencies initials I was working with are RM, NASB, AC, AL, BOA, FH, PF, VU, VF and NA. THEY ALL charge Veterans and Origination fee, which is a fee chosen by the company to impose on a buyer, IT IS NOT A VA REQUIRED FEE. Mark and Matthew was super honest, professional, and very meticulous in my loan processing. It was the best and quickest processing for a VA Loan I’ve ever known of. The went from Day 1 Phone Call to Closing my loan and funding it in less than 20 business days while every one else was saying VA requires 45-60 days. All I can say is if your a VETERAN and do not want to be taken advantage of by a VA Loan Lender, you had better make 1 phone call and not 9 to Mark or Matthew at First Mortgage Direct. They will get you packaged, processed, and closed expeditiously. If you ask them to they also have my permission to give my number to validate I’m a real person making an honest assessment of a SUPER TEAM. They now have my son’s VA Loan as well and working on a record pace to close his loan in the same amount of time. Thanks to you both. God Speed!! Happy in my New Home:)
