Loan Consultants
As the Director of Operations at First Mortgage Direct, Susan Perry oversees the mortgage operational teams, as well as the roles applicable to residential lending for the company. These roles include the loan processing associates, processing, underwriting, closing, and post-closing teams. Susan is responsible for developing effective business practices for teams by defining and creating workflow processes and following mortgage compliance/regulation requirements. She also collaborates with executive managers and team managers to create solid business goals and objectives.
Throughout the mortgage lending process, Susan manages the monthly and annual production targets, staffing requirements, along with costs and expenses to ensure a consistent, efficient, and smooth file flow process from the point of initial underwriting to the file being sold to an investor. Susan continues to build and support an inclusive atmosphere and culture to bring customers a team that demonstrates a positive work ethic, strong commitment to teamwork, and excellent customer service.
Susan has over 15 years of experience in the mortgage lending industry, with a working history and knowledge of multiple functions and departments. Today, she is skilled in file setup/processing, underwriting, compliance/mortgage regulations, investor requirements, and direct selling to Government-Sponsored Enterprises (GSEs). She is a delegated FHA Underwriter and a Certified Performance Development Manager (CPFM).
When Susan isn’t working, spending time on the beach is a favorite family past-time, along with playing competitive volleyball (sand volleyball mostly). She coached competitive junior volleyball for several years and is currently volunteer coaching with her church for their youth sports program.
